Comments This work is also available in a version for four percussionists, EP 6746. The two parts of this piece may be played separately or together, and, when together, in any order. Cage actually planned to compose more parts to be added (see: A Room). The voice in the II: Duet should use unconventional methods of vocal production, the sounds themselves to be determined by the singer. The I: Quartet has complex rhythms and is prevailingly quiet, varying between p and ppp. |
