Comments Etudes Australes consists of single tones and chords derived from star charts contained in the Atlas Australis, an atlas of the southern sky by Antonín Becvár. There are 32 Etudes, grouped into 4 books of 8 each. The Etudes were written as duets for 2 independent hands and use conventional notation. No indications are given as to interpretations of any kind, i.e. dynamics of attack or decay or use of pedal. |
